The Indian High School, Al Garhoud, proudly announces an astounding success story at the CBSE UAE Chess Tournament (2024-25), held at Abu Dhabi Indian School. The school’s super-talented chess masters brought home two prestigious medals – silver in the U11 boys’ category and bronze in the U11 girls’ category.

 

Competing against more than 15 schools, the boys’ team – Muhammad Shayan Noushad Ibrahim (grade 3 N), Niranjjan Palaniappan (grade 4 Y), Krish Seenu (grade 4 Y), and Narain Karthik Kamalakkan (grade 5 Y), broke through and made a hard-earned victory by not only winning silver but also qualifying for the CBSE Chess Nationals Championship. What made the day sweeter was that the girls – Navika Agrawal (grade 4 B), Nihara Prasanth (grade 3 D), Sai Deekshar (grade 5 L), and Tvisha Gupta (grade 5 I) – ended the final round with bronze brilliance.
